Besides having to pay the administrative financial penalties, where there is financial impact to the member’s MediSave account, MIs are required to refund the over-claim, with interest, to the affected MediSave account holder(s). MIs will be notified in writing to pay the administrative financial penalties within 30 calendar days from the Notice of Penalty. Payment of penalties can be by PayNow, interbank transfer, or via a onetime direct debit authorisation via existing bank accounts linked with CPFB. For queries on payment of penalties, you may write to https://www.cpf.gov.sg/service/write-to-us.

If there are any changes to the institution’s bank account linked with CPFB, please inform CPF Board and submit new bank forms (Direct Debit Authorisation Form). To avoid issues on payment rejection, the institution should wait for CPF Board to confirm that the change in bank account has been updated before closing the old bank account.

Please also ensure that there are sufficient monies available in the institution’s bank account for CPF Board’s collection of MediSave refunds and/ or interest payable due to the amendment/ cancellation of claims arising from Hospital/ Clinic’s Error.
